ARGUMENT
40 days after my mother died in COVID19, the Ukrainean war started at the border, I felt a duty to participate and support the Ukrainean people, I entered into Ukraine multiple times, evacuating from frontlines and making logistic for the refugees (FlixBus free transportation- from Romania to Europe, Dnipru support- Batalion Zero, logistic for the crowded borders). I decided to talk a feature film to express what I have lived during a year of war.
I need to put words to events that rejects words. I am not a socialist, not a moralist, nor a politician. I am not offering messages, I just tell stories that I observe around me. Through the film Bridges I tell a story about an emotion, mine, as I came in contact with Ukraine, a world wich has never been mine until the war has started.
This war is a dissonance, a diffusion, a separation of logic, a crisis, a showcase of the difficult relationship between subjects, environments and events. I would like this to change. I also believe in the individual impact over events.
